What you will learn

At this SafeStart® Workshop, you will gain an understanding of:
  • The four mental states which usually precipitate critical errors
  • The four critical errors which lead to almost all injuries
  • The four Critical Error Reduction Techniques which can help dramatically decrease injuries – both on and off-the-job
  • How off-the-job safety and on-the-job safety go hand-in-hand
  • Critical success factors for implementing an advanced safety awareness programme in your workplace.
8:30 a.m. Registration
9:00 a.m. Introductions
9:30 a.m. SafeStart® Overview. History, background and basic concepts
12:15 p.m. Lunch
1:00 p.m. Safety Training for the Adult Learner. Or how to beat the "10 feet tall and bullet proof" syndrome!
2:15 p.m. Unit 2 – Eyes on Task and Mind on Task. A Participant's Eye View of SafeStart®.
We'll undertake a key unit of the programme and get an understanding of the concepts and skills in detail.
3:00 p.m. Implementation and Continuity. SafeStart - Beyond the Basics
3:30 p.m. Open Question Forum
4:00 p.m. Close

Those staying for day 2 will be required to stay for about 45 minutes after the official close of day 1 to receive their assignments for the next day.

Morning: The morning session will be taken up with Participants working in groups on their assignments
Afternoon: Presentation of assignments back to the group.
Close 4:00 p.m.

Cost: £600 (+VAT)
